Microscopic photos of a particle of patina taken from the outside of Osnabrück Castle [where the University of Osnabrück has its lecture rooms] were digitised using a photographic microscope and printed out on a special foil.
The slightly transparent, weatherproof foil was installed on the skylight of the university building next door. The window is in the foyer, above the stairs that lead to the DOWNDATE#1 media conference.
