PROJECT: „Tempest on the sea“
YEAR: Oktober 2006
OCCASION: : EUROPEAN-ARTRIUM, Universität für Kunst und Gestaltung, Klausenburg und das Jubiläum der 30-jährigen Städtepartnerschaft Klausenburg – Köln
LOCATION: Transit Foundation/Namenlose Synagoge; Klausenburg, Rumänien
Microscopic photographs of a fragment of glass from a window of the Caecilian monastery in Cologne were digitised. The glass fragment is today stored in the Cologne Cathedral archive. These digitised microscopic images were used to create the video animation "COMMUNICATE THE LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE". The animation was projected onto the altar wall in a synagogue where the sounds of a river flowing past (Somesul Mic) were broadcast live. BOOTSCHAFT's original anchor, which is the connecting element in all media performances, was positioned at the centre of the room. The windows were covered with blue foil and had large white screens reflecting the colours of the video animation in front of them.
Begleitet wurde das Projekt vor Ort mit Beiträgen von:
